American Airlines Celebrates FIFA World Cup With Special Livery

American Airlines has introduced a new aircraft livery design which they created to celebrate the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026. The airline displayed its design at a soccer-themed event which took place in Miami on April 2 2026 because it served as the official North American airline supplier for the tournament.

Eye-Catching Design Features

The special World Cup livery has been applied to a Boeing 737-800 and features a dark blue to light blue gradient, prominently displaying the golden World Cup trophy. The words “FIFA World Cup 26” are emblazoned along the fuselage, making it instantly recognizable to soccer fans worldwide. Additionally, a small logo decal nods to Qatar Airways, FIFA’s global airline partner.

American Airlines has also extended the World Cup theme across its fleet by adding decals to over 1,460 aircraft, representing the majority of its planes. The airline expects fans to spot the aircraft in the skies throughout the tournament.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. Matches are scheduled in major cities including New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Toronto, and Mexico City.
